Once a month

The Supper Club

Seasonal feasts, live music and long shared tables in the converted 19th-century barn.

Each supper club is a themed four-course menu built around whatever the season is doing best, much of it from Lopemede Farm itself or from producers a few miles away. Slow-cooked Wagyu from our own pastures one month, a harvest of vegetables the next.

As the light goes and the barn lamps come on, a rotating line-up of local musicians plays: acoustic sets, folk, soul. Come with friends, come with family, or come on your own and sit down with whoever is next to you.

Families welcome

After school, on the farm

Skip the drive-through. Real food, an open barn and room for children to be children.

This is a 100% UPF-free kitchen: everything is cooked from scratch from local, seasonal ingredients, with no shortcuts. Children eat smaller plates out of the same kitchen as everyone else, not a separate beige menu. Grown-ups get something proper too, and there is space outside to settle in after the school run.

For children

Available from noon

Kids Burger & Fries £6.00 A plain single Wagyu smashed patty on a brioche roll, with fries.
Ham & Cheese Toastie & Fries £6.00 Free-range ham and grated cheese, toasted on white bread.
Ham & Cheese Toastie £5.25
Kids Fries £3.00 A small portion, unsalted.

Weddings & events

Celebrate in the barn

A converted barn, open fields and grazing Wagyu cattle. Menus written for your day by Tom and Debbie.

Weddings, anniversaries, private dining and gatherings that want somewhere that does not feel like a function room. The setting is rustic and the service is not: between them Tom and Debbie have over 55 years of catering experience, and they handle the menu, the timings and the day itself.

Tell us the date and rough guest numbers and we will come back to you about availability and menus.

The farm

Lopemede Farm, and why the food tastes of it

The kitchen sits inside a working regenerative farm. That is not a strapline here, it is the supply chain.

Lopemede Farm from the air, with the barn and the pasture beyond.

Lopemede is a multi-generation family farm in Thame, Oxfordshire, with land running into Buckinghamshire at Reddings Farm in Long Crendon. They farm 200 hectares of permanent pasture down to the River Thame, on regenerative principles: restoring the natural capital of the land, planting trees and new hedges, digging new ponds and bringing back ghost ponds that were filled in during the 1950s.

It was the first farm in Buckinghamshire on the national register as a Biodiversity Net Gain site. Wetland habitat in the river fields has been restored, scrapes made for red-list birds such as lapwing and curlew, and historic wildflower meadows brought back to a landscape that had lost them.

The kitchen works directly with the farm and a small network of local producers, which is why the menu you read today will not be the menu in six weeks. That is the point of it.

Debbie Mole

Owner. Runs the site, the events diary and the front of house.

Tom Branch

Head chef and co-founder. Writes the menus around what the farm and the season give him.
